ASEAN Club Championship Shopee Cup™ title-holders Buriram United FC delivered the standout performance of the weekend with a ruthless 8–1 home victory over Chiangrai United FC in Thai League 1 on Sunday, tightening their grip at the top of the standings.

Chiangrai took a surprise early lead through Jordan Emaviwe in the 16th minute but Suphanat Mueanta levelled 12 minutes later and from there Buriram pulled clear, with Robert Žulj, Guilherme Bissoli and Thanakrit Chotmuangpak netting before halftime.

Robert Sanchez scored Buriram’s fifth in the 72nd minute while Thanakrit hit a second in the 81st minute before Eduardo Mancha added a late effort in the 85th and Goran Čaušić converted from the spot in the 89th, as Buriram moved onto 47 points at the summit.

Bangkok United FC climbed into the top four after edging BG Pathum United FC 1–0 away in Thai League 1 on Sunday, with Ilias Alhaft netting the decisive goal in the 54th minute.

In the Singapore Premier League on Friday, Tampines Rovers FC produced a devastating attacking display as they swept aside Young Lions FC 7–1 at Our Tampines Hub to continue their strong start to the season.

Japanese forward Hide Higashikawa led the rout with goals in the 9th, 38th, 72nd and 76th minutes while Koya Kazama struck twice in the 29th and 31st. Glenn Kweh also found the net in first-half stoppage time as Tampines climbed into second place.

League leaders Lion City Sailors FC maintained their perfect start on Sunday with a controlled 3–0 victory over Geylang International FC, making it six wins from six to remain clear at the top.

An own goal by Nazrul Nazari in the 43rd minute broke the deadlock before Tsiy William Ndenge doubled the lead in the 64th and Shawal Anuar sealed the result deep into stoppage time.

Johor Darul Ta’zim FC all but booked their place in the Malaysia Cup quarter-finals after cruising to a 10–1 away victory over PDRM FC in the Round of 16 first leg on Sunday.

Teto Martín struck in the 3rd, 63rd, 73rd and 95th minutes while Marcos Guilherme added goals in the 66th and 90th. Nazmi Faiz netted three minutes after the restart and Manuel Hidalgo also found the target in the 87th, completing a dominant display by the Southern Tigers.

In the Cambodian Premier League, PKR Svay Rieng FC strengthened their position at the summit with a hard-earned 3–2 away victory over Phnom Penh Crown FC on Sunday.

Ghanaian forward Kwame Peprah struck a hat-trick to overturn early goals by Moses Dyer and Rafael Andres Nieto as Svay Rieng moved clear at the top.

Myanmar National League action on Saturday saw Shan United FC keep pace in the title race with a commanding 5–2 home victory over Thitsar Arman FC.

Myat Kaung Khant opened the scoring in the 22nd minute, followed by efforts from Zin Hein Khun Kyaw and Sa Aung Pyae Ko from the spot before Ye Yint Aung II wrapped up the win late on in the 83rd minute to keep Shan United firmly in contention.
