BG Pathum United FC have announced the appointment of Vladimir Vujović as the club’s new head coach following the departure of former Thailand national team coach Masatada Ishii on Monday.
Vujović had worked as Ishii’s assistant since his appointment in October and replaces the Japanese tactician after he left his position by mutual consent in the aftermath of the club’s involvement in the 2025/26 ASEAN Club Championship Shopee Cup™ last week.
BG Pathum United’s 1-1 draw with Selangor FC in Group A of the Shopee Cup on Wednesday was the final game in charge for former Kashima Antlers boss Ishii. The result saw BG Pathum United finish third in Group A.
Vujović has previously coached in Indonesia, Lebanon and Kyrgyz Republic. His first match in charge will be against defending Shopee Cup™ champions Buriram United FC in Thai League 1 on Saturday.
