Buriram United FC striker Supachai Chaided faces a lengthy period on the sidelines after injuring his right knee during Thursday’s 3-2 win over Singapore in a friendly at Thammasat Stadium.

The 26-year-old, who recently celebrated scoring his 100th goal for Buriram United, fell awkwardly during the game and was immediately substituted with news reports later claiming he had injured his posterior cruciate ligament.

Buriram United later posted a photograph of Supachai on crutches and with his knee in a brace on social media while wishing the striker a speedy recovery.

Supachai will now likely miss his club’s upcoming ASEAN Club Championship Shopee Cup™ Group A clash with last season’s runners-up Công An Hà Nội FC on December 3 in Buriram.
