ASEAN Club Championship Shopee Cup™ title holders Buriram United FC dropped points in Thai League 1 for the first time this season as Osmar Loss’ side were held to a 2-2 draw by BG Pathum United FC on Sunday.

Buriram United needed a pair of goals from Brazilian striker Guilherme Bissoli to salvage a point on home turf during an eventful opening 45 minutes in a re-run of last season’s Shopee Cup™ semi-final.

Seydine N’Diaye had given the visitors the lead in the 25th minute only for Bissoli to level six minutes later and, after Sanchai Nonthasila restored BG Pathum’s advantage in the 33rd minute, the Brazilian struck again three minutes into added time, this time from the spot.

Buriram United remain in pole position on 19 points with BG Pathum in fifth, eight points adrift.

Bangkok United FC, Thailand’s third participant in the ongoing Shopee Cup™, are in second after a 3-1 win over Nakhon Ratchasima FC that came through goals from Muhsen Al Ghassani, a Nenad Lalić own goal and a late third from Teerasil Dangda.

Meanwhile, Arif Aiman and Jairo both scored twice as Johor Darul Ta’zim FC notched up a seventh straight win in the Malaysia Super League on Sunday with a 7-0 victory over PDRM FC.

Bérgson, Eddy Israfilov and Romel Morales were also on the scoresheet for Xisco Muñoz’s side to maintain their five-point lead over second-placed Kuala Lumpur City FC.

Shopee Cup™ Group A leaders Selangor FC picked up their third win of the league campaign as goals from Alvin Fortes, Chrigor and Faisal Halim sealed a 3-1 victory over Imigresen FC.

DH Cebu FC handed Don Bosco Garelli FC a 6-0 defeat in the Philippines Football League with Leo Manquiling scoring twice to earn his side their second win of the campaign as they remain seven points behind leaders Manila Digger FC.
