Five players have been shortlisted after producing standout displays to earn the Yanmar Most Energetic Player award during the tournament. From match-winning goals to tireless performances on the biggest stage, each candidate played a pivotal role in their team’s journey.

Suphanat Mueanta (Buriram United FC) v Selangor FC, May 27
Suphanat delivered another decisive performance as Buriram United FC secured a 2-1 victory over Selangor FC in the second leg of the Shopee Cup™ Final to retain the regional title. Having scored the winner in the first leg, the Thailand international once again rose to the occasion by netting Buriram’s equaliser after latching onto Theerathon Bunmathan’s clever pass and finishing with the outside of his boot. Constantly threatening the Selangor FC defence with his movement and attacking intent, Suphanat played a key role in guiding Buriram United FC to a second consecutive Shopee Cup™ crown.
Faisal Halim (Selangor FC) v BG Pathum United FC, February 4
Faisal inspired Selangor FC to a crucial point that secured the Malaysian side’s place in the Shopee Cup™ semi-finals despite playing more than an hour with 10 men. Wearing the captain’s armband, the winger produced the defining moment of the match when he ghosted past two defenders before unleashing a stunning strike into the top corner for his fourth goal of the campaign. Leading by example throughout a determined defensive effort, Faisal’s quality and composure helped Selangor FC hold off BG Pathum United FC and continue their historic run in the competition.
Theerathon Bunmathan (Buriram United FC) v DH Cebu FC, February 4
Theerathon showcased his vision and experience as Buriram United FC sealed top spot in Group A with a commanding 6-0 victory over DH Cebu FC. The veteran playmaker was instrumental in the Thai side’s attacking dominance, most notably delivering a superb long-range pass that set up Kingsley Schindler for Buriram’s third goal of the evening. Dictating the tempo and helping his side maintain control throughout, Theerathon’s composed display played an important role in sending the defending champions into the semi-finals as group winners.
Óscar Arribas (Johor Darul Ta’zim FC) v Shan United FC, January 29
Óscar Arribas helped spark Johor Darul Ta’zim FC into life as the Malaysian champions secured a crucial 3-0 victory over Shan United FC to strengthen their push for a semi-final place. After a frustrating first hour in which Shan United FC proved difficult to break down, the Spaniard finally made the breakthrough in the 65th minute, glancing home Yago da Silva’s corner to open the scoring. Arribas remained a lively attacking presence throughout the contest and his goal provided the platform for JDT to pull away and claim an important three points.
Nguyễn Văn Vĩ (Nam Định) v Selangor FC, May 6
Nguyễn Văn Vĩ delivered an energetic display for Nam Định FC in a hard-fought semi-final first leg against Selangor FC. With the Vietnamese champions trailing late in the first half, the wing-back timed his run perfectly to meet Percy Tau’s cross and stab home the equaliser in first-half stoppage time, rewarding a positive attacking performance. Constantly looking to support both defence and attack, Văn Vĩ’s tireless work rate and ability to influence key moments helped keep Nam Định FC firmly in contention heading into the return leg.
