ASEAN Club Championship Shopee Cup™ participants Bangkok United FC confirmed their progress to the semi-finals of the AFC Champions League Two on Thursday despite being held to a 2-2 draw by Singapore’s Tampines Rovers FC.

The draw at Jalan Besar Stadium ensured Totchtawan Sripan’s Thai League 1 side completed a 4-3 aggregate win over Tampines Rovers to move into the last four, where they will play Japan’s Gamba Osaka next month.

Holding a 2-1 lead from last week’s first leg in Thailand, Teerasil Dangda struck from distance in the 15th minute to extend his side’s advantage although Tampines Rovers forward Trent Buhagiar levelled with six minutes remaining in the first half.

Ilias Alhaft restored Bangkok United’s advantage three minutes later, however, and although Koya Kazama equalised again for Tampines Rovers with 19 minutes remaining, the Thai outfit held on to progress.

Meanwhile, PKR Svay Rieng FC secured a 2-1 win over fellow Cambodians Phnom Penh Crown FC to reach the semi-finals of the 2025/26 AFC Challenge League.

Svay Rieng, who were runners-up in the same competition last year, advanced with a 6-2 aggregate victory with Takashi Odawara scoring twice for Matt McConkey’s side after Moses Dyer had given Phnom Penh the lead in first half stoppage time.

Svay Rieng will next face Manila Digger FC from the Philippines in the semi-finals.
