The first leg of the ASEAN Club Championship Shopee Cup™ final between Vietnam’s Công An Hà Nội FC and Buriram United of Thailand produced a thrilling 2-2 draw as the Thai League 1 champions came back from behind twice to level at Hang Day Stadium on Wednesday.

The result meant that the title showdown in the inaugural edition of the regional club competition is well balanced ahead of Wednesday’s second leg at Buriram Stadium, where the two sides will battle to become the first-ever Shopee Cup™ champions.

With us halfway through the final, ASEAN United FC takes a look at the four goals scored in the first leg in Hanoi and asks you, the fans, to pick your favourite by voting in the poll at the bottom of the article.

Leo Artur (Công An Hà Nội FC)

Leo Artur gave Công An a dream start after he gave them the lead only 18 minutes in at the end of a beautiful, flowing team move. Alan Grafite sent Nguyen Quang Hai racing down the right wing with a one-touch pass before the Công An captain slipped in midfielder Vitao, who squared it for Artur to pass the ball into a goal. It was the Brazilian’s fifth goal of the tournament, as he matched Buriram's Lucas Crispim and Terengganu FC's Safawi Rasid at the top of the scoring charts.

Curtis Good (Buriram United)

Buriram were pushed onto the backfoot by Công An's early onslaught, but they found a reply through their centre-back Curtis Good 10 minutes later. Peter Zulj floated a corner towards the back post where the former Australia international beat his markers to head past Công An goalkeeper Filip Nguyen and restore parity with a goal that could prove crucial in the Thunder Castle’s bid to lift the Shopee Cup™.

Alan Grafite (Công An Hà Nội FC)

Alan Grafite was on the scoresheet as Công An defeated Buriram 2-1 in their Group B opener last August and the striker repeated the feat on Wednesday. After some slack defending from Sasalak Haiprakhon and Good, the ball fell for Grafite who found the back of the net with a low drive with his left foot past Buriram custodian Chatchai Bootprom to restore the Vietnamese side’s lead after 35 minutes.

Peter Zulj (Buriram United)

It will be Buriram who will be the happier of the two sides after Zulj scored with 11 minutes remaining as the first leg finished 2-2. Công An goalkeeper Filip Nguyen could only parry a long-range strike from Guilherme Bissoli onto the path of the Austrian midfielder, whose low header found the back of the net as the Thais came back from behind for the second time after an improved second-half display.
