ASEAN Club Championship Shopee Cup™ title holders Buriram United FC continued their perfect start to their Thai League 1 defence on Sunday with a 2-1 win over Chiangrai United earning Osmar Loss’ side their third victory in a row in the domestic competition.

Recent signing Sandy Walsh scored the winner in the 55th minute after Robert Žulj had seen his 20th minute opener for Buriram United cancelled out by Carlos Lury 13 minutes later.

Buriram United lead the table by two points from Muangthong United FC with fellow Shopee Cup™ participants Bangkok United FC in fourth.

Totchtawan Sripan’s side picked up a 2-1 win over BG Pathum United FC, the third Thai team featuring in this year’s Southeast Asian club championship through late goals from Pokklaw Anan and Ilias Alhaft after Ekanyit Panya had given BG Pathum the lead.

In Vietnam, Alan Grafite hit a hat-trick as Công An Hà Nội FC handed Hà Nội FC a 4-2 defeat in V.League 1 to move up to second behind Ninh Bình FC.

Johor Darul Ta’zim FC, meanwhile, picked up their fourth win in a row with a comfortable 3-0 victory over Imigresen FC through goals from Jon Irazabal, Jairo and João Figueiredo to sit on top of the Malaysian Super League standings with maximum points.
