ASEAN Club Championship Shopee Cup™ contenders Johor Darul Ta’zim FC took a significant step towards the Piala Malaysia 25/26 final with a commanding 4-0 win over Kuala Lumpur City FC in the first leg of their semi-final.
 
Bérgson da Silva opened the scoring in the fifth minute with Ager Aketxe adding goals in the 31st and 84th minutes while Óscar Arribas was also on target in the 59th minute to complete an emphatic victory.
 
Selangor FC, meanwhile, were held to a 1-1 draw by Kuching City FC in the other semi-final first leg, with Chrigor Moraes striking deep into stoppage time after Ronald Ngah had given Kuching the lead from the penalty spot in the first half.
 
In Thailand, Buriram United FC extended their lead at the top of Thai League 1 despite being held to a 2-2 draw by Ratchaburi FC.
 
Guilherme Bissoli opened the scoring in the eighth minute and Narubodin Weerawatnodom doubled the advantage shortly after, but goals from Gleyson and Jesse Curran, including a late equaliser, ensured the hosts claimed a share of the points.
 
Bangkok United FC strengthened their position in third place with a 2-0 win over Sukhothai FC as Thitiphan Puangchan struck in the 14th minute and added his second in the 57th minute.
 
BG Pathum United FC secured a 2-0 victory over Kanchanaburi Power FC with Patrik Gustavsson opening the scoring in the 23rd minute before Elias Dolah added a second in the 70th minute.
 
In Singapore, Albirex Niigata (S) FC edged Tampines Rovers FC 3-2 in a closely contested encounter.
 
Trent Buhagiar gave Tampines the lead in the fourth minute and Hide Higashikawa doubled the advantage soon after, but Albirex responded through Hyon Ju Ryang from the penalty spot before Shingo Nakano levelled, with Abdul Rasaq netting the winner in the 86th minute.
 
Despite the defeat, Tampines Rovers FC remain second in the Singapore Premier League on 33 points from 14 matches, five behind leaders Lion City Sailors FC.
 
Công An Hà Nội FC maintained top spot in V.League 1 with a dominant 5-1 win over SHB Đà Nẵng FC.
 
Stefan Mauk struck twice in the opening stages while Nguyễn Đình Bắc added a brace and Lê Văn Đô also found the net, with Vũ Văn Sơn scoring a consolation for the visitors.
 
Nam Định FC recorded a 2-0 win over Hồng Lĩnh Hà Tĩnh FC,with Nguyễn Xuân Son converting from the penalty spot in the 36th minute before Chadrac Akolo sealed the result after the break.
 
In Cambodia, PKR Svay Rieng FC tightened their grip on top spot in the Cambodian Premier League with a 4-1 win over Phnom Penh Crown FC.
 
Patrick struck in the 36th and 68th minutes while Nhean Sosidan and Saret Krya were also on target as the leaders moved onto 62 points from 25 matches.
