ASEAN ROUND-UP: BURIRAM UNITED FC CRUISE INTO THAI LEAGUE CUP SEMI-FINALS

 ASEAN Club Championship Shopee Cup™ defending champions Buriram United FC eased into the semi-finals of the Thai League Cup on Wednesday with a comfortable 3-0 win over Pattani FC.
 
Kingsley Schindler opened the scoring in the 33rd minute before Supachai Chaided doubled the advantage four minutes later, with Shinnaphat Leeaoh adding a third in the 67th minute to complete a routine victory.
 
BG Pathum United FC also advanced with a 3-0 win over Mahasarakham SBT FC, as Yoshiki Takagi struck in the 70th minute while Ikhsan Fandi netted twice in stoppage time to seal the result.
 
Johor Darul Ta’zim FC, meanwhile, underlined their dominance in the Malaysia Super League title with a 7-0 win over PDRM FC.
 
The Southern Tigers have now won all 20 of their matches this season to move onto 60 points and hold an unassailable 18-point lead over Selangor FC with four matches remaining.
 
Marcos Guilherme opened the scoring in the 15th minute before Iker Muniain added a second in the 21st minute, with Stuart Wilkin striking twice to extend the lead. Jairo da Silva then netted a late hat-trick to complete the rout.
 
Tampines Rovers FC continued their strong form in the Singapore Premier League with a 3-0 victory over Tanjong Pagar United FC.
 
Hideki Ishikawa struck in the 20th minute and later added his second before Shah Shahiran sealed the win late on, as Tampines Rovers moved onto 33 points from 13 matches, remaining five behind Lion City Sailors FC.
 
Nam Định FC booked their place in the semi-finals of the Vietnam Cup with a 2-1 win over SHB Đà Nẵng FC.
 
Nguyễn Xuân Son opened the scoring in the 27th minute and Chadrac Akolo doubled the lead in the 38th minute. Phi Hoàng Nguyen reduced the deficit after the break, but Nam Định held on to progress.
 
PKR Svay Rieng FC advanced to the semi-finals of the Hun Sen Cup with a 4-1 win over Kirivong Sok Sen Chey FC.
 
Yudai Ogawa struck early before Nhean Sosidan and Kwame Peprah put the hosts firmly in control prior to the break. Patrick added a fourth in the second half, while Ekene Victor Azike converted a late consolation from the penalty spot.
 
Shan United FC strengthened their lead at the top of the Myanmar National League with a 1-0 win over Hantharwady United FC.
 
Myat Kaung Khant’s first-half strike proved decisive as Shan United FC moved onto 58 points from 22 matches, maintaining their advantage over Yangon FC.
