Reigning ASEAN Club Championship Shopee Cup™ champions Buriram United FC kicked off their Thai League 1 campaign in convincing fashion on Sunday as Guilherme Bissoli scored a hat-trick in a 3-1 win away to Sukhothai FC.
Bissoli converted a 14th-minute penalty before adding his second in the 40th minute and completed his treble two minutes into first-half stoppage time. Nathan Palafoz pulled a goal back for Sukhothai in the 78th minute.
Port FC also made a winning start, coming from behind to defeat hosts Rasisalai United FC 2-1 on Saturday with Marcel Scalese hitting the winner four minutes from time.
