The inaugural ASEAN Club Championship Shopee Cup™ concluded on Wednesday with a thrilling final that saw Buriram United of Thailand overcome Vietnam’s Công An Hà Nội FC in a penalty shootout after the final ended 5-5 on aggregate after 210 minutes of action across two legs.

Buriram goalkeeper Chatchai Bootprom emerged as his side’s hero with three saves during the shootout while a number of other players from both the sides also lit up the grand stage in a title showdown that produced goals that will live long in the memories of the Southeast Asian football fans.

With the dust still settling on the entertaining final, ASEAN United FC takes a look at four of the best goals scored from the second leg of the final in Buriram and asks you, the fans, to pick your favourite by voting in the poll at the bottom of the article.

Jason Pendant (Công An Hà Nội FC)

Công An Hà Nội FC’s opener in the second leg of the Shopee Cup™ came at the end of a brilliant team move as Jason Pendant applied a finish that was deserving of the sweeping build-up. The French-born full-back initiated the move playing a one-two with Leo Artur and then with Nguyen Quang Hai with the Công An captain playing a brilliant backheel pass onto the path of Pendant. Pendant had the option to pick out Alan Grafite in the middle, but instead decided to go for the goal himself and emerged with a thumping finish that left Chatchai Bootprom rooted to the spot.

Peter Zulj (Buriram United)

Peter Zulj was among Buriram United's standout stars in the first leg after assisting Curtis Good and then scoring himself as the Thai champions came back from behind to level twice in the 2-2 draw in the first leg. The Austria international midfielder once again proved to be an influence in the return leg scoring the goal that sparked Buriram’s historic fightback with seven minutes left of the regulation time. Zulj had to react quickly as a Lucas Crispim shot from outside the box was cushioned onto him by Supachai Chaided and the midfielder found the bottom left corner from 10 yards out.

Lucas Crispim (Buriram United)

When Buriram United needed a hero in the dying moments to keep their Shopee Cup™ title hopes alive, Lucas Crispim stepped up in spectacular fashion. With the Thai League 1 side pushing desperately for an equaliser deep into second-half stoppage time, the Brazilian delivered a moment of pure brilliance. Awarded a free-kick 30 yards out, Crispim unleashed a thunderous strike that rocketed past the defensive wall, smashed off the underside of the crossbar and bounced into the back of the net. It was a goal worthy of a final and one that helped Osmar Loss’ side take the game into extra time which produced further drama.

Alan Grafite (Công An Hà Nội FC)

In the extra time, it was Công An Hà Nội FC who needed a late goal to rescue themselves, after Guilherme Bissoli’s penalty in the 105th minute gave Buriram United the upper hand. The leveller came from Alan Grafite this time sending Alexandre Polking on a run down the touchline to celebrate with the travelling supporters. After Chatchai Bootprom had denied Le Van Do, the visitors scored from the resulting corner as Van Do’s delivery into the box was met by Grafite, who rose highest at the back post to power a header past Chatchai to take the game to penalties.
