Matchday Three of the ASEAN Club Championship Shopee Cup™ produced 17 goals from six matches, with a handful of them worthy of finding their place in the highlights reel.

Some of those goals were not only eye-catching but also proved pivotal for the clubs as the group stage action enters business end with only two matches to play before the four sides in the semi-finals are decided.

After the conclusion of another set of exciting futures, ASEAN United FC presents six of the best strikes from the matches and lets you, the fans, vote for your favourite strike at the foot of the article.

Manny Ott (Terengganu FC)

Philippines international Manny Ott is on a goalscoring spree in the Shopee Cup and his first of two goals against Myanmar’s Shan United FC was one of top quality. The 32-year-old, who now has four goals in three matches, received a pass from Engku Nur Shakir at the edge of the box before curling a right-foot effort into the top corner to make it 2-0 to Terengganu FC in the 25th minute.

Nermin Haljeta (PSM Makassar)

It only took Nermin Haljeta 38 seconds after kick-off to open the scoring for PSM Makassar against Cambodian champions PKR Svay Rieng FC in Phnom Penh on their way to a 1-0 win that propelled them to the top of Group A. The Slovenian striker made a well-timed run to get on the end of a Victor Dethan pass and, after finding goalkeeper Vireak Dara off his line, lifted the ball over the custodian for what proved to be the only goal of the game.

Doan Ngoc Tan (Đông Á Thanh Hóa FC)

Đông Á Thanh Hóa FC’s trip to BG Pathum United remained goalless for 71 minutes until captain Doan Ngoc Tan produced a delightful volley to find the breakthrough. It all began with the Thai side failing to deal with a corner from the Vietnamese visitors, letting Yago Ramos to head the ball back across the goal for a waiting Ngoc Tan to plant a clean strike from just inside the box past Saranon Anuin.

Maxime Lestienne (Lion City Sailors FC)

Maxime Lestienne’s first goal of the Shopee Cup came after some brilliant teamwork between the Belgian and Bart Ramselaar. Starting the attack from the midfield, Lestienne played the ball onto the feet of teammate Ramselaar before making a run into the box to receive the pass back. The Belgian then beat goalkeeper Azri Ghani with a good finish from a tight angle to score the second goal of their 2-0 win against Kuala Lumpur City FC.

Mark Swainston (Kaya FC-Iloilo)

Fitch Arboleda, Audie Menzi and Mark Swainston combined for Kaya FC-Iloilo’s only goal of the game in their 2-1 defeat by Công An Hà Nôi FC. Kaya right-back Arboleda launched a long ball forward which was headed down inside the box by their backtracking captain Menzi towards Swainston. The 25-year-old substitute had to gauge the bounce of the ball and did it to perfection as he struck home from 12 yards to give Kaya a glimmer of hope.

Marcelo Djalo (Buriram United)

Thai champions Buriram United scored four goals past Borneo FC Samarinda without reply in their second win in three matches. And the pick of those strikes came from centre-back Marcelo Djalo. Jefferson Tabinas delivered a cross from the byline to the centre of the box with Djalo slipping yet striking it first time into the back of the net to double his side’s lead in the 27th minute.
