The fifth and final matchday of the ASEAN Club Championship Shopee Cup™ produced an incredible 24 goals from six matches as the semi-final line-up of its inaugural edition was confirmed.

PSM Makassar, BG Pathum United and Buriram United joined Công An Hà Nội FC in the semi-finals to be played in April and in the process, produced some eye-catching goals.

With the group stage campaign now behind us, ASEAN United FC presents six of the best goals from the final set of group fixtures and lets you, the fans, vote for your favourite goal at the end of the article.

Akhyar Rashid (Terengganu FC)

It was a brilliant individual effort from Malaysia international Akhyar Rashid that gave Terengganu FC the lead against BG Pathum United 66 minutes into their final Group A fixture. The 25-year-old drove into the box down the left-hand side but instead of crossing in from the byline, he shifted the ball onto his right foot and struck the ball over goalkeeper Pisan Dorkmaikaew into the far corner from a very tight angle for his third goal of the tournament.

Ye Yint Aung (Shan United FC)

It only took Shan United FC seven minutes to find the breakthrough against PKR Svay Rieng FC. Bounphachan Bounkong was robbed of the ball just outside the box and Myo Ko Tun played through Ye Yint Aung, who struck it first time past the diving Svay Rieng goalkeeper Hankhun Sang to give Hiroki Ono’s side the early lead at the National Olympic Stadium in Phnom Penh.

Gakuto Notsuda (BG Pathum United)

BG Pathum United came back from behind to defeat Terengganu FC with Gakuto Notsuda scoring their third goal in the 4-3 victory. Chanathip Songkrasin played a delightful through pass to set up the former Sanfrecce Hiroshima midfielder inside the box and the 30-year-old then produced a smart finish across Turtles goalkeeper Rahadiazli Rahalim to finish his group stage campaign with a goal and two assists from two appearances.

Bounphachan Bounkong (PKR Svay Rieng FC)

Shan United FC had stolen the ball from Bounphachan Bounkong to open the scoring in their final group stage fixture. So it would have come as a relief for the Laos captain to score twice in PKR Svay Rieng FC’s 4-2 comeback win against the side from Myanmar. Bounphachan’s second goal was a stunner as he found the back of the net with a brilliant strike from about 24 yards out past Pyae Phyo Thu.

Le Van Do (Công An Hà Nội FC)

Le Van Do was on the scoresheet for Công An Hà Nội FC for the fourth game running in the Shopee Cup as he struck to maintain the Vietnamese side’s perfect record in the competition with a 3-2 win against Borneo FC Samarinda. The 23-year-old beat his marker with a drop of the shoulder and then planted a left-foot strike into the top corner from outside the box to draw first blood in the 20th minute.

Nermin Haljeta (PSM Makassar)

Nermin Haljeta started and finished off an attack for his second goal of the evening and sent PSM Makassar through to the next stage of the competition with a 3-0 defeat of Vietnam’s Đông Á Thanh Hóa FC. The Slovenian played a crossfield pass to Rizky Eka Pratama to send him racing down the left wing before making his way into the box to apply the finishing touch on his teammate’s cross to seal the victory.
