"Together, We Can Build Better”
Building upon the achievements of the 2022 edition’s CSR football clinics – which provided children from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds with access to football training and facilities alongside local football icons, as well as tickets to home games – Mitsubishi Electric is bringing this initiative back in 2024, spanning across six major cities in Southeast Asia.
Designed to further inspire and develop young football talents from local football academies throughout Southeast Asia, the clinics will be held in Bangkok, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Hanoi, Jakarta and Manila, the last venue in recognition of the Philippines being newly added as one of the tournament’s 11 host countries.
A key highlight of this year’s clinic will be a special sharing session by the former Japan National Coach, Mr. Takeshi Okada. Mr. Okada is renowned for his innovative coaching techniques and his approach, famously known as the "Okada Method," focuses on holistic player development, tactical intelligence, and mental fortitude. Supporting him in running these clinics, will be coaches from FC Imabari, a Japanese professional football team in the Meiji Yasuda J3 League, and legendary players from each country’s national team, who will conduct lessons and mini-games to help children learn about football, the joy of sports and the importance of pursuing dreams.
In addition to the clinics, we will also bring the ASEAN Mitsubishi Electric Cup trophy into major malls across the cities for a day filled with fun and exciting activities.
