Vote for you MSIG Serenity Cup™ – Yanmar Most Dynamic Player of the Tournament!

The MSIG Serenity Cup™ has seen some outstanding individual performances, with several players standing out for their energy, skill, and influence on the pitch. These five players have each earned recognition as the Yanmar Most Dynamic Player in their respective matches. Now, it’s time to decide who deserves the title of Yanmar Most Dynamic Player of the Tournament.

Madison Casteen – Thailand v Cambodia, Group A, 9 August

Madison Casteen played for just under an hour in Thailand’s Group A game against Cambodia but the striker was key to her side’s 7-0 win, as the Cambodian defence struggled to deal with her pace, skill and energy on the frontline. Casteen spent much of her time on the pitch in the opposition half and her attacking endeavour was rewarded when she scored two of Thailand’s first three goals in the match late in the first half.

Huỳnh Như – Vietnam v Thailand, Group A, 12 August

Veteran striker Huỳnh Như may not have scored for Vietnam during the group stage of the MSIG Serenity Cup™ but the 33-year-old was a constant threat in attack for the hosts. In Vietnam’s final group game against Thailand, she menaced the Thai defence throughout the match and set up the only goal of the game, cutting in on the right flank and crossing for Trần Thị Thu Thảo to turn the ball into the net.

Win Theingi Tun – Myanmar v Philippines, Group B, 13 August

Win Theingi Tun played an invaluable role in Myanmar’s progress to the final, scoring seven goals in four matches and working hard all over the pitch to help her team to stifle the opposition. In the final group game against the Philippines, the Myanmar captain largely operated near the halfway line but she broke forward to great effect, winning a penalty which she duly converted in a 1-1 draw which eliminated the defending champions.

Myo Mya Mya Nyein – Myanmar v Thailand, Semi-Finals, 16 August

While Win Theingi Tun scored both of Myanmar’s goals in their 2-1 win over Thailand in the semi-finals, the team owed a debt of gratitude to Myo Mya Mya Nyein. The Myanmar goalkeeper rarely ventured out of her own box during the game but, aside from one rather unfortunate deflection, she turned aside everything that the Thai attack could throw at her to send her side through to the final.

Leticia McKenna – Australia v Vietnam, Semi-Finals, 16 August

Leticia McKenna was a livewire in attack for Australia in their semi-final against Vietnam as she helped to silence the home crowd at Lạch Tray Stadium by playing a part in both of her team’s goals in their 2-1 win. She set up the opener with an excellent cross from the left which was headed in by Aideen Keane and netted the second herself with a stunning left-footed effort from 20 yards that flew past goalkeeper Trần Thị Kim Thanh into the top corner.
